A well known company in the Shippensburg area is seeking line leads for its production environment. Available opportunity on 3rd shift. Sunday - Thursday 8:30pm-5:30am.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Line Leader is responsible for ensuring that the production line is actively engaged to meet or exceed safety, quality, production, and daily customer demand metrics in a production environment. In this role, the incumbent will drive continuous improvement across key business objectives and provide training to the line cell.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Acts as front line for direction, instruction, and training of staff.

· Works in coordination with Production Supervisors and other Line Leaders to manage the daily operations of assigned employee(s), assuring overall quality, productivity, and policy/contract adherence.

· Ensures the build quality and product usage are correct to meet productivity and financial metrics.

· Communicates and trains the assembly process using the batch production record

· Uses basic problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the line.

· Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate production functions.

· Supports employee(s) by answering questions and assisting where needed.

· Achieves required safety, quality, delivery and performance levels.

· Fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma or GED required

· 2-5 years Warehouse Experience

· Must have a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing

· Previous leadership in a production environment

· Strong math skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-restricted environment

· General Professional Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Bilingual a plus)

· Adhere to company safety standards

· Able to work in teams and communicate clearly with managers and other team members

· Attentive to detail, organized, and passionate!

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: stand; walk; sit; use hands finger dexterity, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, push, or move items up to 50 pounds. Use visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard. Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.

The line lead position requires you to work alongside other employees while providing direction, support, and leading by example.
