Job Title: Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster (Direct Hire- this is not a temporary position). 

Location: Harrisburg, PA
Compensation: $66,000 – $70,000 annually (higher compensation considered based on experience)
Schedule Options:
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster to handle a variety of first- and third-party claims in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role requires strong expertise in bodily injury claims, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage claims from investigation through resolution.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confident in claims decision-making, and able to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise sound judgment and decision-making to analyze claims exposure and determine appropriate handling strategies
  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve first- and third-party claims, including bodily injury and litigated matters
  • Manage claims files from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate handling
  • Interact professionally with insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, physicians, vendors, and other involved parties
  • Document all claim activity clearly and thoroughly to support claim outcomes
  • Resolve claims within assigned authority limits and escalate higher exposure cases to the Claims Manager as needed
  • Ensure all assignments are completed within required timeframes while effectively multitasking across a caseload

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an Insurance Claims Adjuster, including bodily injury claims (required)
  • Experience handling first- and third-party claims
  • Prior experience with general liability and/or trucking claims is a plus
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Professional written communication skills required
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate across departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Active adjuster license is a plus; candidates willing to obtain licensing will be considered
