Job Responsibilities
- Perform electrical service work independently or with an apprentice
- Install, terminate, and pull data/low-voltage cabling (Cat 6, coax, TSP; fiber optics a plus)
- Electrical and low-voltage rough-in work
- Hand-bend conduit (½”–1¼”); larger conduit experience preferred
- Read blueprints and create layouts from field sketches
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Submit work orders electronically
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Communicate professionally with customers and management
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Occasional overnight travel for training (typically once per year)
Required Qualifications (Journeyman Only)
- Active Journeyman Electrician license – REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification (preferred)
- Comfortable using electronic work order systems
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (preferred)
Physical & Technical Requirements
- Proficient with power tools, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, threaders, and lifts
- Advanced conduit bending and wire identification skills
- Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E
- Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, climb, bend, and work at heights up to 60’
- Comfortable working indoors/outdoors in all weather
- Safety-sensitive position — strict safety compliance required
