We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our client dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing human capital initiatives, supporting employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and processing payroll. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic HR functions, including talent acquisition, workforce management, and organizational development, in a fast-paced environment. The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a key resource for fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing overall employee engagement.

Duties
  • Processing Biweekly payroll from start to finish via ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure accurate entry and updates for new hires, terminations, pay changes, bonuses and benefits deductions and validate each adjustment.
  • Create and run reports for management such as payroll reports and review them for accuracy and compliance.
  • Responsible for all wage garnishments such as child support, and other deductions
  • Maintain personnel files, payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Stay up to date on payroll tax laws and other regulatory changes.
  • Review payroll data to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Responsible for timely year-end and quarterly compliance reporting and tax documents (W-2) and participate in payroll, benefit and 401k audits as needed.
  • Address routine HR inquires, assist in navigation of the HRIS system, and guide employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in administering benefits programs including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Assist with employee recruitment, onboarding, orientation, orientation and offboarding processes.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team with filing, scanning data entry, correspondence and other projects.
  • Help coordinate performance reviews and policy updates
  • Manage end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including sourcing through ATS platforms.
  • Oversee employee orientation programs and conduct regular employee evaluations to support performance management initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation policies, and affirmative action planning.
  • Handle employee relations issues with effective conflict management strategies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Support training & development initiatives to promote continuous learning and career growth within the organization.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Familiarity with employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation procedures, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance, taxes, and wage/hour laws
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive, team-focused attitude
  • High school degree or GED is required
  • 2-5 years' payroll experience or a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of payroll, garnishments and benefit deductions
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Demonstrated skills in talent acquisition techniques including ATS sourcing tools
  • Excellent communication skills for effective employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English fluently
  • Must be comfortable with varying work temperatures. Temperatures in the production and warehouse area very form 80 degrees Fahrenheit to -20 degrees Fahrenheit

Certifications and Licenses:
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or (CPS Certified Payroll Specialist)

Salary
  • $60,000 /yr- $70,000/yr DOE
