Job Description
Are you mechanically inclined and ready to put your skills to work in a hands-on environment? We’re looking for a dependable individual to assist with maintenance and repair of diesel-powered equipment. Whether you're an experienced diesel mechanic or someone with strong mechanical skills and welding ability, we want to hear from you.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday mornings
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment
- Support engine diagnostics, fluid changes, filter replacements, and general repairs
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed (welding test required—bring hard hat and gloves)
- Help inspect vehicles and equipment for issues and routine service needs
- Grease, lubricate, and clean parts to prevent equipment failure
- Operate equipment to verify repairs
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Follow instructions from lead mechanics and supervisors
What We’re Looking For:
- Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn diesel systems
- Welding experience required—ability to pass onsite welding test
- Prior experience working with tools, machinery, or automotive systems preferred
- Reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a labor-intensive role
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Must provide your own basic hand tools and a locking toolbox
Physical Requirements:
- Must wear PPE at all times: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, safety vest, gloves (provided), and steel-toe boots (must provide)
- Ability to bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), twist, climb, and crouch throughout the day
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and on large equipment
