Sanitation Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our clients work force. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in their facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Major areas of concentration will be cleaning production utensils and equipment. This position is critical in supporting food production and processing operations, contributing to the overall quality and safety of our products.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, and tools.
• Emptying trash and liquid wastes, cleaning floors, ect. and other assorted cleaning tasks.
• Returning clean equipment and production utensils to their proper locations
• Required to clean production equipment to Allergen Control Standards.
• Some overtime will be required as necessary due to covering vacations and working on special projects.
• Individuals may be asked to work in other departments if needed as determined by the shift supervisor
• Execute industrial cleaning tasks following established protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while performing sanitation duties.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness.

Job Knowledge and Requirements

• High pressure hot and cold-water hoses, chemical foam sanitizer, hand scrubbing with scrubby
• Must wear protective equipment when appropriate and/or as described
• Familiarity with food production or processing environments is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds).
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices and industrial cleaning techniques is advantageous.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Shifts

• 2nd Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm
• 3rd Shift: 11pm - 7:30pm
