Reputable company in the Shippensburg area is seeking Waste Removal Technicians for its 3rd shift operations. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 6 months warehouse experience. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
3rd shift 9pm-5:30am, Sun-Thurs
A waste removal tech is responsible for the following,
· Help keep waste cardboard in the proper receptacles(bales) on the production lines.
· Gathering the full bales and replacing them with empty ones
· Delivering the full bales to the cardboard compactor either by hand or using the "tugger" once certified
· Operating the cardboard compactor
· Performing 5S duties during downtime
· Helping the production teams during down time
· Able to work in a team environment and take direction.
· Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
· Must have a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-restricted environment.
· General Professional Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English (bilingual a plus)
· Adhere to company safety standards.
· Able to communicate clearly with managers, supervisors, and other team members.
· Attentive to detail, organized, and passionate!
· Takes pride in doing good work and has a positive attitude.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
· This position is great for a self-motivated individual who can work under minimal supervision once trained.
· It is a simple job in theory but can be very physically demanding.
· People working in this position are sometimes asked to help work on a production line during downtime and/or as needed per Summit Leadership.
